According to Webster’s dictionary, Pareidolia (/pærɪˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-DOH-lee-ə) is a psychological phenomenon in which the mind responds to a stimulus, usually an image or a sound, by perceiving a familiar pattern where none exists. Basically, the phenomena are centered around the human tendency to perceive random things occurring in nature as significant when they are not. One example of this can be seen when we look at a cloud in the sky and we are able to see a recognizable face or figure in the makeup of the cloud.
