According to Webster’s dictionary Pareidolia (/pærɪˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-DOH-lee-ə) is a psychological phenomenon in which the mind responds to a stimulus, usually an image or a sound, by perceiving a familiar pattern where none exists. Basically the phenomena is centered around the human tendency to perceive random things occurring in nature as significant, when they are not. One example of this can be seen when we look at a cloud in the sky and we are able to see a recognizable face or figure in the make up of the cloud.
