just wanted to give everyone the heads up that we will be using a new chat /flash based in a couple days. I will appreciate everyones feedback in evaluating this new build.

Flash based should be better then java.. BIG TIME! However Tim make sure to put a disclaimer at the bottom stating that folks should make sure they have there flash player up to date. 
Otherwise youll get alot of false problem reports. Mostly they will say "Unable to launch shell" or "Flash player needed to view this area."
I for one cant wait! Should be lot better. Most the chats on myspace (the one at the bottom that you can add) are flash based and seem to work really well.

its almost done, anyone that doesnt' have flash will not be able to see the players or the menu bars on the site ..lol..so i think the chat not working would be the least of their problems. The chat is major step up then the last one and I hope everyone will see a major difference.

picture uploading availbility - for screen caps only
can box for messages and notes during investigations
compltely re-sizable chat interface...
ignore lists,
doodling pens...
and ......its a hell of a lot faster.

Took a look see this morn after you finished..looks good and from what I can tell stormwise I should be ok. The storms raising havoc on my Fibro tho. Difference between 04 and now, no meds. Flying solo with just IB's and doesn't work well in times like this, BUT I'm also not loopy.

LG im glad to hear that you made it out ok from the storms! Everyone in the SE are in my prayers when its hurrcaine season.

Um...where you you type? Can you change font sizes of incoming messages?
