About livescifi.tv
We didn’t start LiveSciFi to tell ghost stories. We wanted to take people inside the investigation.
Tim Wood founded LiveSciFi in 2006 with a simple idea: bring the audience along and let them experience paranormal investigations as they happened.
By 2007, our cameras were broadcasting live ghost hunts, giving viewers a chance to explore reportedly haunted locations alongside the team.
Over the years, we’ve investigated notorious haunted houses, abandoned buildings, historic locations and cases involving some of the most unsettling paranormal claims we’ve encountered.
Through live broadcasts, original episodes like The Demon Files, and years of firsthand fieldwork, our mission remains the same:
Show the investigation. Examine the evidence. Let viewers decide what they believe.
LiveSciFi’s Broadcasting Milestones

What Makes a LiveSciFi Ghost Hunt Different?
The quiet matters as much as the moment that makes us stop and listen. Our live format takes you from the first walk through a location to the history, equipment setup, tests and closer examination of unusual sounds or images.
You watch the investigation in context, including stretches when nothing unusual happens. We distinguish what our cameras recorded from what witnesses and investigators believe it means; unusual footage alone does not establish a supernatural cause.
Original Episodes, Documentaries and Paranormal Articles
A live broadcast brings you along for the fieldwork. The Demon Files and our other original productions shape selected investigations into edited, on-demand episodes, giving the locations and witness accounts room to tell a fuller story.
Watch our original paranormal episodes, then follow the questions into the paranormal article archive: haunting accounts, historical records, documentary coverage, demonology and folklore.
The Demon Files: Now Streaming on Tubi
LiveSciFi’s original live ghost hunts led to The Demon Files, a paranormal reality series directed by founder Tim Wood. Its 2026 first season is now available on the Tubi streaming service in supported regions, with six episodes featuring cases including the Sallie House, Sedamsville Rectory, Haunted Hill House and the Silver Queen Hotel.

Watch The Demon Files on Tubi
The series follows Tim Wood and his investigation crew into haunted locations and reported demonic activity. Tubi credits Wood as director, alongside cast members Scott Di Lalla, Kristin Manning, Patrick Langdon and Lillian Alquist.

Ghost Hunts With the Audience Alongside the Team
Sometimes another pair of eyes notices what we missed. From our earliest broadcasts, live chat has brought viewers into the investigation to ask questions, compare observations and follow what the team is doing.
That conversation is part of LiveSciFi. Our on-demand recordings and historical archives let you return to a moment, examine the footage around it and make up your own mind.
Historical Research and Academic Recognition
LiveSciFi’s early online presence was recognized in research published online in 2023 in the Journal of Heritage Tourism. A study of 60 paranormal-focused YouTube channels identified LiveSciFi as the earliest channel in that sample, dating its YouTube presence to 2007. This is a finding about the study’s dataset—not a claim that LiveSciFi was the world’s first livestream. Read the peer-reviewed study.
LiveSciFi reports more than 700 livestreamed ghost hunts across platforms. Founder Tim Wood reports fieldwork at over 1,000 reportedly haunted locations during his career. These are reported career totals, not independently audited audience analytics. For the detailed chronology and contemporary reporting, see The History of LiveSciFi on Tim Wood’s official site.

Jen Wold
Admin for LiveSciFi, lifelong explorer of the unexplained, and believer that the past leaves traces behind. My interest in the paranormal began in childhood after personal experiences that made me question what exists beyond the ordinary. Finding LiveSciFi and Tim’s live investigations gave me a front-row seat to real-time paranormal exploration — the perfect place to watch, learn, and dive deeper into the unknown.
I’m also a treasure hunter. Constantly searching for unique objects from the past. Over time, I’ve encountered items that feel more than just old—they feel active. I believe certain objects can act as trigger objects, holding energy and emotional imprints that connect to their history. These experiences continue to shape how I view the paranormal world and deepen my passion for uncovering what lies beneath the surface.
