Inside this investigation
The basement camera is the focus of Episode 13. Dark shapes and shifting patches in the image prompted questions about what might be moving in the room. This is a long security recording, so the investigation on this page is a patient review of the footage. The supplied description contains no exact chapter times. I would rather preserve that limitation than attach a dramatic label to an unlocated moment. Use your own timestamp and a clear description when sharing a possible observation.
For this website edition, I suggest beginning with the full camera view and choosing one observation at a time. Note which part of the image changes, how long it remains visible and whether the same effect returns. Keep the surrounding footage in your comparison, including periods when nothing unusual seems to happen. The complete original description is preserved below. When you join the episode discussion, include a timestamp and the camera position so another viewer can reproduce your review. The adjacent episode links let you compare this recording with the wider investigation.

WHAT'S MOVING IN THE BASEMENT OF THE HAUNTED WELLES HOUSE? I'm Tim Wood, founder of LiveSciFi, and in Episode 13 of A House Worse Than Amityville, we're watching the security-camera footage from inside the basement of the reportedly haunted Welles House in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The basement has been one of the most unsettling areas of our investigation, and this footage contains strange shadows and unusual movement that deserve a closer look. Are we seeing possible shadow figures, unusual lighting effects, or something else entirely? ๐ป STRANGE SHADOWS IN THE WELLES HOUSE BASEMENT During our extended paranormal investigation, we positioned infrared security cameras throughout the property to document unusual activity. This episode focuses on the basement camera footage, where dark shapes and shifting shadows have caught our attention. Watch the darkest areas of the basement carefully. Some movements are subtle and easy to overlook. But is any of this paranormal? Infrared cameras can produce strange visual effects caused by changing light, reflections, equipment interference, and video compression. Shadows can also appear to move when their source is outside the camera's view. That's why we want you to study the footage and decide for yourself. ๐น WHAT TO WATCH FOR โข Strange shadows moving through the basement.
โข Dark areas that appear to change shape.
