Inside this investigation
This episode continues the Welles House record through the security-camera system. The description concentrates on changing shadows and dark shapes, rather than a new active experiment. I want the archive to preserve that quieter part of the investigation because a long view can reveal recurring lighting patterns and background movement. There are no exact supplied chapters for this recording. If a particular shape catches your attention, identify the camera and the time before deciding what might have produced it.
For this website edition, I suggest beginning with the full camera view and choosing one observation at a time. Note which part of the image changes, how long it remains visible and whether the same effect returns. Keep the surrounding footage in your comparison, including periods when nothing unusual seems to happen. The complete original description is preserved below. When you join the episode discussion, include a timestamp and the camera position so another viewer can reproduce your review. The adjacent episode links let you compare this recording with the wider investigation.

STRANGE SHADOWS ON THE WELLES HOUSE SECURITY CAMERAS, GHOSTS? OR DEMONS?. What is moving through the darkness at 46 Welles Street? I'm Tim Wood, founder of LiveSciFi, and this is Episode 19 of A House Worse Than Amityville, our extended paranormal investigation of the Welles House at 46 South Welles Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In this episode, the investigation continues through the security-camera footage. Instead of a live Ouija board or ghost box session, the focus is on strange shadows and dark shapes viewers can watch for throughout the recording. Some moments are subtle. A patch of darkness may look different as the scene changes, or a shadow might seem to move where you wouldn't expect it. Are these possible shadow figures inside a haunted house, ordinary changes in lighting, artifacts from night-vision cameras, or something else? The only way to evaluate them is to study the original footage, compare what appears before and after, and consider what the camera may be doing. THE WELLES HOUSE - EPISODE 19 The cameras were part of our effort to document reported activity in the house over an extended investigation. Security recordings are especially interesting because they allow us to look back at the same areas without an investigator constantly addressing the camera. They can also be misleading: a fixed shot can make a small lighting change look dramatic, and low-light video can conceal details that would explain what we're seeing. I want you to pay attention to the shadows rather than assuming every dark shape is a ghost. Watch the edges of doorways, corners, walls, and furniture. Notice whether the shape stays attached to an object, passes across a surface, or seems to change when the camera adjusts to the light. If you spot an unusual moment, rewind and watch what happens several seconds before it appears. WHAT TO WATCH FOR IN THIS SECURITY-CAMERA VIDEO - Dark shapes or shadow-like movement that stands out from the background.
- Areas that seem to grow darker or lighter over a few seconds.
- Possible human-shaped outlines that may simply be reflections or shadows.
- Changes caused by night-vision illumination, compression, or exposure.
- Other small details that we might have missed during the original recording. ARE SHADOW FIGURES REAL? People have reported seeing shadowy figures in reportedly haunted places for generations. Some describe a human silhouette, while others report a quick movement out of the corner of their eye. Those accounts are part of why we investigate, but the description alone doesn't establish that a spirit is present. Security cameras introduce their own challenges. Infrared illumination, automatic exposure, digital noise reduction, compression, reflections, and light from outside a room can create strange-looking shapes. An insect near the lens may also look very different from an object farther away. Sometimes there isn't enough detail to reach a firm conclusion. For me, the important part is documenting what appeared on the recording and letting everyone examine it with an open mind. Unexplained does not automatically mean supernatural; it means we should take a closer look. WHY WE KEEP RECORDING THE WELLES HOUSE A House Worse Than Amityville follows our experiences inside the property over multiple episodes, including firsthand investigations, audio sessions, and static security-camera footage. The continuous recordings help establish context around the reported activity and give our viewers a chance to notice things the team might not have seen while investigating elsewhere. The Welles House is at 46 South Welles Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA, and is often searched for as 46 Welles Street. Throughout the series, we're exploring its reputation for hauntings while separating documented footage from stories, theories, and interpretations. HELP US INVESTIGATE EPISODE 19 Did you spot a shadow that appears to move on its own? Does it resemble a person, or does it look like a change in the lighting? Was there a second camera angle or a nearby object that might explain it? Leave the EXACT TIMESTAMP in the comments, tell us which camera view you were watching, and describe what you saw. If you have a natural explanation, we want to hear that too. Your observations help our LiveSciFi community revisit the footage, compare the frames, and build a better record of the investigation.
