Inside the Monroe House investigations

The Monroe House stands in Hartford City, Indiana, and is often called the Demon House in paranormal accounts. Reports associated with the property include shadow figures, unexplained noises, apparent voices and physical contact. Its history involves multiple households and disputed stories about the building’s past; the linked history article examines those records and the claims that helped shape the house’s reputation.

LiveSciFi’s investigations at this location

LiveSciFi announced a multi-day, 100-hour investigation in February 2017. The nine recordings collected here preserve different parts of that investigation, including equipment sessions, psychic drawing, a 100 Candles gathering and the final-night attic session. They are individual archive recordings rather than nine separate visits, and include a short drawing explanation alongside much longer broadcasts.

The team records and replays possible EVP, combines Ouija questions with a Ganzfeld experiment, and conducts mirror-scrying and psychomanteum work. Other sessions use a pendulum, discuss impressions recorded in drawings, or move the investigation into the attic. The 100 Candles recordings include shared ghost stories and accounts from earlier experiences, so those discussions should be distinguished from events occurring inside Monroe House at that moment.

Where to start in the archive

• Listen to the EVP questioning session
• Watch the extended psychic drawing session
• Explore the 100 Candles story and ritual archive

Use the chapters to move between the original sessions and their review. Audio reactions, equipment checks and witness descriptions are all useful context when assessing a reported sound or response. The location-history article also discusses LiveSciFi’s 2017 broadcast and Tim Wood’s account of an arm-injury incident without treating its cause as established.
