Inside the Sallie House investigations

The Sallie House is a historic home whose reputation grew around accounts of a childlike presence, moving objects and aggressive encounters. LiveSciFi’s location history traces the Finney family background and the later Pickman haunting accounts, while separating the familiar story of a girl named Sallie from the historical records. The basement, staircase, bedrooms and rooms containing dolls became recurring settings for Tim Wood’s investigations.

LiveSciFi’s investigations at this location

This collection brings together 41 recordings from multiple Sallie House investigations: live and uncut broadcasts, overnight camera watches, solo sessions, shorter excerpts and original trailers. The Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 recordings let viewers follow an investigation through its setup, equipment changes, experiments and later discussions. Extended broadcasts and shorter uploads sometimes cover related sessions; their original part labels are retained so you can distinguish them.

Across the archive, the team conducts EVP recording and playback, ghost-box questions, Ouija and Ganzfeld experiments, mirror work and psychic drawing sessions. Other recordings document the examination of reported scratches or revisit unusual sounds and movement noticed by viewers. The psychic sketches are the artist’s impressions, and comments about voices or figures remain observations to compare with the footage.

Where to start in the archive

• Begin the Day 1 investigation
• Review the Ouija and Ganzfeld experiment
• Explore Kristin Manning’s psychic drawing session

The value of these longer recordings is the surrounding context: what the investigators were doing, where the cameras were positioned and what happened before a reported moment. Start with a complete broadcast, use the evidence topics to find a method or report, and compare shorter clips with their extended recordings.
