[#1287]

Tim, Not to be a PIA but I logged on Sat Nite and within 5 mins all I read in the chat was ppl talking smack or Cussing if ya will. Now I get serious when I investigate. And the same goes when I come here, I want to read ppl talking about the investigation not talking butt plugs and such. Also I think the pic thing is getting outta hand. I know it was placed there for Investigation pics, but I don't think pics for the internet quals for that.

I know some of the more serious ppl would agree. Esp those that logged off when the cussing was going on.

Thanks Dear

Tim... I agree...Before and after the investigation the pics is one thing...however...the moderator did more than once remind that pics during investigation is not allowed.... i also tried several times to pm the moderator for a couple of issues and was not able to get to them...one being the person slamming you... i sent a message to you about it...then the other person bragging about being booted out before....several of us women had a problem with a male trying for cyber dates...i finally got thru to the moderator on that issue.... If there is something I can do to help, just let me know. I will be more than happy to help you..

Last night was an usually bad night for the chats with the drama.

Most of the messing and joking around was done while the team was on their break while they weren't streaming and continued because many did not realize the investigation had not started up again. I know my video didn't start back up automatically and I had to reload the feed in order to see the stream was back and this was only because someone in the chats had mentioned the team investigating.

While another moderator would be nice to have for some of the other problems we had on the chats (one that was banned and the cyber dating issue), some of the other joking around requires more of a reminder/warning rather than a straight out ban.

I think the two easiest ways to help everyone feel better is to 1) add one more moderator for the more crowded nights when one in chat moderator might have more work than they can handle and 2) create an extra room for those who would want complete seriousness during the investigation as the previous chat had had. This way there is a room for just serious investigation talk and a chat where investigation talk and general talk can be done.

and Tim so sorry that you have to deal with the unneeded drama.

I have long been a proponent of Mods...and also other rooms to talk serious about the investigations. The Mod thing is difficult because ,1) Tim cant get one of us to do it because there is always someone that feels there is favortism towards the person or person chosen. As this has been tried before and just such a thing happened so no more mods from chat....Tim cant afford to pay a mod or at least it would be a low priority to do so.2) The extra rooms are great but a pain because again we have alot of complainers on this site that think someone is getting favortism.

Now there are plenty of other reasons I dont bother with talking to people that much on here and just watch the investigation.

P.S. These are my opinions and mine only..... Tim cannot satisfy everyone all the time and he is driving himself nuts trying too. But the people disrupting chat is a big problem and not allowing the others to enjoy the investigation. Maybe with a pay site we could get rid of those types. But sad to say it would also get rid of me. I am all about Livescifi.tv getting bigger and better what ever it takes. Its all about the Family not the individual.

I am not talking abut you complaining. I am just talking abut the many changes that have been attempted in the a little over a year that i have been here.

There have been some good ideas put into effect only to be done in by some complaining of favortism towards mods or the other rooms.

I do think we should revisit some of the good ideas that have had to be set aside for one reason or the other.

Tim is getting away from investigating because of some bad apples in chat and making it miserable for him i can only imagine.

This chat seems totally out of control anymore. I remember when we could watch an investigation and have a decent conversation at the same time. Seems like since we got all these new people things have changed. Maybe rules should be posted on the sign in to chat, so everyone knows what to follow. Common courtesy is something that is lacking. I think we also need a few mods. I miss the extra room that we could go into to get away from the mess in chat. It was so bad I left last night. I came back a little later and it wasn't any better,so I left for the night. I also noticed alot of older members had left to. 🙁

I know and agree with all your points Stmac.

Some of you may remember that I'm the type of person that likes to try to step into the other person's shoe and understand why/what reasons they do some things. This doesn't mean I'm taking their side on things or that I agree with them. When I do things like this it's more as a way to help others see some reasons why someone might do what they do that might not have been noticed before. I'm the same way with evidence. I might ask skeptical questions and poke at how accurate evidence might but and I do this because I feel that in the long run it helps others prepare of questions they may get from others who won't be as nice or accepting about their answers.

I've said it to others before and I really do think it's best. With certain types of people the only thing you can really do is ignore them. They come with the intention of causing disruption and by us chatters getting riled up it gives them the satisfaction they most often crave. Ignore them completely and they get tired of talking to a wall and leave.

As for those that are here a lot and joking too much, often times these just need a friendly reminder of when joking is allowed and when it becomes a nuisance.

Aside from those that intend on causing trouble we just need to remember to talk and listen to each other respectfully and try not to take things personally. When you have something said to you that you don't agree with you can still discuss things respectfully rather that take it personal. Remember everyone has different opinions, but that doesn't make anyone a bad person for those opinions. If you find you absolutely must discuss things with someone that you think the rest of the chats wouldn't want to see or you wouldn't want the chats to see then open a private message with that person and let them know that you want to talk it over more but don't want to disturb the rest of the chats so that is why you are using a PM.

😆 now that I've talked/typed everyone's ear (eyes?) off....
Bottomline: Respect is key even if you don't agree with a person's view respect it as a difference. Not as a flaw.

Last night was really rough for me...you know I came here to get away from that.

Please get a MOD, we don't care who it is, someone who can be firm without offending, and intelligent enough to field the newbie’s questions, and satisfy their interest enough to get them to come back.

Last night turned a lot of NEW viewers away. No one was able to take the time to explain to them, your patience in repeat investigations, or the equipment that you use, or why. So they left annoyed by the rude, child like chatting and really nasty rude pictures.

It was not idle “Hi I'm new get to know meâ€

When Tim has to get a phone call in the MIDDLE of an investigation to handle a chat issue, it's gone much farther than just a need for reminders. I think someone who is fair yet firm is just fine as a mod. Someone who is both can rise above favoritism and do what he or she is meant to do as a moderator.

Tim's always said that the investigations are a "family-friendly" show, but lately that hasn't been the case. I do think a list of rules/expectations for everyone to follow is important to have listed, whether it be directly on the chat page or somewhere in the forums. That way lines are more clearly defined and it's much easier for the mod to discipline someone who has crossed those lines.

I also agree that a more serious room would be an ideal solution, but by what determination are people allowed to use that room? Who decides? Again...all that falls back on Tim. Sometimes people need to just do a little better about policing themselves and others. It shouldn't have to fall back on Tim every time he turns around. He's got better things to do than babysit a chat room. I'd guess that's why he established moderators to begin with.

I have to agree about the chat problems. It has turned into a dating service/teenage locker room atmosphere. I want to talk about the paranormal not someone's attempt to get a date, etc. Or the trying to impress with their sex life!!!!!! 😮 There will always be some talk concerning families and their problems, but lets stop the vulgarity, please
Just my humble opinion. Thank you!

I think if there is no investigation, by all means have your fun. BUT if there is an investigation, some of us are very serious at helping the team find answers and use the chat to discuss whats going on during it. Thats why I liked the asshat room, it was a spot to escape the riff raff of the lobby room.

I agree DD most did happen during the break, and i myself had to read in chat that the streams were up only to see i had to reload the video to watch...the person who was dissing i believe Tim and livescif was kicked from chat, then banned i believe...the other person only that was banned was a mistake that was corrected by Tim...who ever it was that was doing the cyber over pm's would be something only the other person would see not the moderator as its privite...im in full aggreeance with a second room again (asshat room) for the more serious investigators as well its just plane to hard to have one room with both serious peeps and people having fun...in the so called fun room should be 2 to 3 moderators i would like to see and i doubt the serious room would need one at all..

As for newbies to the chatroom i have to question why that moderator should have to answer all the newbies questions about equipment and stuff...seems the job of a moderator is to moderate a chat room not do a meet and greet ...they are there to control a room..if newbies come in with no knowledge of what is going on i question why don't we all attempt to help them...alot of us have been here along time...let the mods do there jobs..it seems we usually meet and say hi to each new person if we can and we do answer questions..but sat. night was just way way to busy that night..it was like the gates were open lol

As for the dissing of team members the copy and paste that person was taken care of we all seen that..as for the others that came in..i believe they just questions were some people were making statements..concerning spook and les and maybe a few others that are not around...that is not breaking the law..

Just my two cents lol 🙂
