VERY MAD!

i'm sorry you feel you "have" to enter info. infact you can chose what you want to say. ok? you don't have to reveal anything you wish to keep private. or simply not bother with a profile at all.

When I went to view the index it sent me to the "community profile" page, and wouldnt let me to the forum index unless I entered the info. Maybe it was just a glitch.. I saw a topic in the profile thread about some one having profile issues so maybe I just logged in when tim was working on the profiles..I dunno. Just thought it was bad form to have to post info to use the thread.

You know me Spook, you ask me something and normally ill answer. But I learned long ago not to enter to much info in profile pages.

Sorry if I seemed rude, that wasnt my intent, I just wanted to make clear that I was displeased with the forcing of entering information. If it was just a glitch then feel free to delete this thread.

Hi guys, I am having an issue with this also, when I log in, if I go anywhere but the general discussion, I get a message that "I am allowed to create a profile" and it takes me to the community profile page, there is no way around it, I even filled out the community profile and it tells me that "I didnt fill out all the required fields", but I did fill them out. can you help please?

Hey guys I did have something like that when they first started this.I just put a dot in the places i didnt want to fill out....It does want something in nearly every space. so i just put a dot...lol

I dont like the fact that I was forced to complete a profile page, it should be a option not a requirement. I like a certain degree of aminimity.

I dont mind telling folks things, but I dont want everyone who comes here to know everything about me by just clicking on a link.

i have turned off this requirement for the time being.

geez, I thought it was just me..........

I'm glad it's disabled now. too labor intensive for me to fill those jobbies out, makes me think when I don't wanna

I filled it out twice..then tried to hit the forums, both times it told me I needed to fill out my profile. I finally said F*ckit! and left.

You're not alone! I've had this problem since I joined. I'd fill it out, sumit and then it would say "you didn't fill out the required fields" I finally gave up....I'd just use the seach to enter the forums....that seemed to work......glad Tim disabled it! Thanks Tim!
