20 Years of LiveSciFi.tv — Thank You for Being Part of This Journey
Hey everyone, Tim here.
Twenty years ago, in 2006, I started LiveSciFi.tv with an idea: bring people into a paranormal investigation live and let them experience what happened alongside us. Let them watch, listen, ask questions, challenge what we were seeing, and help us search for answers.
I never imagined that idea would lead to twenty years of investigations, friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a community that would become such a huge part of my life.
To everyone who has been part of LiveSciFi, thank you. I am incredibly grateful for you.
Some of you remember the early days in San Francisco, the head cameras, and the streams on Justin.tv and Ustream. You remember what it took just to get a broadcast working—and the nights you stayed with us through connection problems, equipment failures, and hours of waiting for something to happen.
Others found us through YouTube, the ZoZo investigations, Welles House, Sallie House, television, or a recent live show. However you got here, I’m thankful you did.
Looking back, there is so much we have accomplished together:
Twenty years of live paranormal investigations, sharing the quiet stretches, unexpected moments, experiments, and unanswered questions as they happened.
Hundreds of live broadcasts, with more than 700 shows now available through our Live Archives.
The early Justin.tv and Ustream years, when we were figuring out how to make viewers active participants in investigations from wherever they were watching.
The Yahoo! Halloween feature and our Machinima collaboration, which brought these investigations to new audiences.
The ZoZo House investigations and the month-long ZoZo Experiment, followed by sharing that experience through Stalked by the Zozo Demon.
Investigations at Welles House, Sallie House, Mackay Mansion, the Washoe Club, and so many other locations that have become part of our shared history.
Opportunities to bring this work to television, including It Feels Evil, Haunted Salem: Live, Paranormal Declassified, and The Ghost Town Terror.
Creating and continuing original programming, including The Demon Files and In Search of the Paranormal.
Bringing The Demon Files to streaming audiences on Tubi.
Building the evidence archives on LiveSciFi.tv, making it easier to revisit investigations and find specific EVPs, reported visual anomalies, Ouija responses, and other moments worth examining.
Building a community that continues to watch, question, contribute, and welcome new people after two decades.
Every one of those milestones has people behind it.
Thank you to everyone who has watched a live show, shared a video, subscribed, supported an investigation, or told a friend about LiveSciFi. Thank you to the viewers who send timestamps, screenshots, thoughtful questions, and observations that deserve another look. Your attention and contributions have helped shape this work.
Thank you to the moderators who have given their time to our community, the investigators and crew who have worked beside me, and the property owners and families who have trusted us with their locations and stories.
And thank you to those who have stayed through difficult stretches, changes, and setbacks. I know your time and support are things you choose to give. I don’t take either for granted.
When I look back over twenty years, I think about the people on the other side of the camera. The familiar names in chat. The friendships. The laughter in the middle of a tense night. The messages from people who still remember a particular investigation years later.
You have given me twenty years of memories, purpose, and reasons to keep going. I cannot thank you enough.
As we celebrate this anniversary, I’d love to hear your part of the story:
When did you first discover LiveSciFi, and what is your favorite moment from the last twenty years?
It could be an EVP, an investigation, something that scared you, something that made you laugh, or a friendship you made here. Please share it below. I’d love for this thread to become a collection of memories from the people who helped make LiveSciFi what it is.
Thank you for twenty years of curiosity, late nights, patience, friendship, and support.
With love and gratitude,
Tim Wood

I think i discovered Livescifi i. 2007, when I was still in England. I was recovering from surgery and my sleep was all messed up so would stay up all night stumbling around the web. One day I searched for live ghost hunts, and found you!
I remember the chat being small and welcoming and your trips to the drive thru to tests your equipment and places like the Villisca house and Bobby Mackays. I think the first real investigation I saw was at a ranch, or maybe a plantation I remember there was a big barn.
Its great dropping in on investigations and seeing familiar usernames.
Thank you for all you do Tim, its always fun watching your adventures and I'm proud of you! You're a TV star now!
Think that was Krazymoose's place? One of the members, if I recall. The FLIR cam, stable cam and outside cams, caught some good stuff that night. I remember Tim playing back the footage live.
I am also one of the O.Gs from when it first started.
