Inside this investigation
A recording made while Dave and I say we were outside becomes the focus of this episode. During slowed playback, one passage sounds to me like my own voice. That reaction is part of the investigation, but the resemblance needs to be tested against the recording rather than accepted from the title. Other fragments are interpreted as warnings, names or growls. I want you to compare how the sound changes at different speeds and how much the suggested words influence what you hear.
For your own review, listen once without trying to hear a particular word. Then compare the suggested interpretation with the surrounding audio and the question being asked. A repeated playback can help locate a sound, but it can also make an ambiguous fragment feel more familiar. The original description below preserves the investigation notes rather than replacing them with a verdict. In this episode's discussion, give the exact time, describe what you hear and explain any ordinary source you think should be considered. You can also compare the neighboring recordings through the episode navigation.

DID THE WELLES HOUSE GHOST BOX RECORD MY VOICE WHILE I WAS OUTSIDE? I'm Tim Wood from LiveSciFi, and in Episode 7 of A House Worse Than Amityville, we slow down audio recorded inside the reportedly haunted Welles House in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. What we hear stops me in my tracks: one passage sounds like MY voice, even though I wasn't in the room when the team made the recording. During the previous investigation, Scott and Jonathan were conducting a ghost box session upstairs while Dave and I were outside. In this episode, we replay that recording at a dramatically reduced speed and compare what we think we hear. Is it a recognizable voice, a radio fragment, or an illusion created by changing the playback speed? Other passages sound to our team like warnings, names, growls, and longer phrases. We also review the team's reactions and leave the security cameras running, giving viewers another chance to search the Welles House for unexplained activity. 👻 EPISODE 7 — MOMENTS TO REVIEW 4:35 — “YOU'RE IN TROUBLE”? The team interprets a slowed voice as a warning. 7:09 — “THERE'S A DEMON HERE”? A phrase we believe we hear during playback. 10:43 — “THAT'S MY VOICE!” I react to a sound in the recording that resembles my own voice. 12:34 — We compare the timing with the earlier investigation, when Dave and I say we were outside. 19:42 — A viewer hears “help” or “hurt.” What do you hear? 21:34 — A low growling sound draws attention during the audio review. 25:49 — “DEVIL”? We return to a word the team thinks it hears. 30:18 — We replay and discuss that same possible response. 37:59 — A viewer reports hearing their own name in the audio. 45:22 — Another prolonged, growl-like sound appears during the playback. 47:57 — Possible “GET OUT” message. 49:09 — A passage the team interprets as “demon in the room.” 55:16–1:02:48 — Viewers report fast-moving orb-like lights across the dining room, stairwell, bedroom, and basement security cameras, especially near 57:48 and 59:18. 🔎 WHAT ARE WE ACTUALLY HEARING? A ghost box rapidly scans radio frequencies. Slowing recordings alters the pitch and timing of voices and radio fragments, so recognizable words can emerge even when their source is ordinary. Likewise, lights on infrared security footage can be insects, dust, reflections, or camera artifacts. The reported words and “orbs” are observations to examine, not confirmed evidence of spirits. But I want YOU to listen and watch. At 10:43, does the voice sound like mine? At 37:59, can you make out a name? And which security-camera moments deserve a closer look? Drop your timestamps, screenshots, and alternative explanations in the comments. Viewer discoveries are an important part of these original LiveSciFi investigations. 📖 WELLES HOUSE HISTORY & INVESTIGATION:
