Inside this investigation
This episode is a discussion of the previous night's experiences, including my account of feeling a blow to my stomach around 5 AM. JJ, Dave and Scott also describe their own observations and reactions. The chapters let you distinguish those individual accounts and return to my explanation of the incident. This recording is valuable as testimony and investigation context. It should be read alongside the original footage being discussed, rather than presented as though every recalled event happens directly on camera here.
As you watch, keep track of who is speaking and whether they are recalling an event, interpreting a recording or answering a broader question. Those differences are useful when comparing this account with an earlier investigation. The original description remains available below, and the episode navigation provides a route back through the series. If you contribute to this discussion, identify the time of the statement and describe which original recording you believe it concerns. That helps us examine the account carefully while preserving the personal perspective that makes these interviews part of the archive.

I WAS PUNCHED IN THE STOMACH AT 5 AM INSIDE ONE OF THE MOST HAUNTED HOUSES IN PENNSYLVANIA. I'm Tim Wood, founder of LiveSciFi, and in Episode 9 of A House Worse Than Amityville, our team discusses one of the most frightening nights we experienced during our month-long paranormal investigation of the Welles House in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. What happened to me that morning is something I'll never forget. Around 5 AM, while lying in bed and answering messages from viewers, I began hearing what sounded like breathing directly next to my face. I could feel air against my skin, even though nobody appeared to be there. Moments later, I heard movement around my sleeping bag. Then, without warning, I felt a powerful blow directly to my stomach. The impact knocked the wind out of me. I struggled to catch my breath and called out to the other investigators for help. When we reviewed our security-camera footage, we noticed strange light anomalies and dark, mist-like distortions around the area where I had been sleeping. Was this a paranormal attack, or was something else happening inside the Welles House? In this episode, I sit down with investigators Dave Spinks, Scott, and Jonathan (JJ) to discuss what happened, the unexplained activity we've been experiencing, and whether it's becoming too dangerous to continue investigating. π» EPISODE 9 β INVESTIGATION HIGHLIGHTS 00:30 β JJ discusses the previous night's disturbing experiences and the reported attack. 02:19 β The team recalls my unusual behavior following an earlier incident outside the house. 12:29 β Dave Spinks discusses hearing a hiss during a basement investigation and experiencing physical discomfort. 17:45 β Dave describes unusually large light anomalies observed across multiple security cameras. 24:52 β Scott recounts waking up after I called for help following the reported stomach punch. 27:25 β Scott describes seeing what appeared to be a small figure near the basement doorway. 34:13 β I begin discussing the previous night's investigation. 36:00 β I describe hearing unexplained breathing near my face while lying in bed. 36:41 β THE 5 AM INCIDENT: I recount the sudden blow to my stomach. 37:14 β We discuss strange lights and dark distortions noticed while reviewing the security footage. 40:54 β I explain our plans to share the original recording of the incident. 45:26 β Viewer-submitted screenshots and possible shadow figures captured on the security cameras. β οΈ IMPORTANT: This episode is our live investigation Q&A and evidence discussion. The reported physical incident occurred during the previous overnight investigation, not during this Q&A recording. π΄ THE WELLES HOUSE HAUNTING Located at 46 South Welles Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the Welles House has a long history of reported paranormal activity. Throughout our extended investigation, we've documented accounts of unexplained noises, unusual electromagnetic readings, shadow-like figures, disturbing spirit box responses, and frightening personal experiences. What makes this investigation different is that we're spending weeks inside the property, documenting what happens through live streams, infrared security cameras, audio recorders, and viewer participation. I'm not asking you to believe every unexplained event is paranormal. I want you to examine the evidence and decide what you think happened. ποΈ HELP US INVESTIGATE Have you ever experienced something you couldn't explain while sleeping in a reportedly haunted location?
