Inside this investigation
This episode drew several different interpretations of the ghost-box recording. One viewer hears a phrase resembling “Damn you to hell” at 2:55:34; other reports suggest names, commands or shorter words. Those suggestions are preserved for comparison, but I do not want them to replace your own listening. Start with the surrounding question and the unisolated audio. Then decide whether the proposed wording is distinct, ambiguous or better explained by fragments from the scanning radio or the room itself.
For your own review, listen once without trying to hear a particular word. Then compare the suggested interpretation with the surrounding audio and the question being asked. A repeated playback can help locate a sound, but it can also make an ambiguous fragment feel more familiar. The original description below preserves the investigation notes rather than replacing them with a verdict. In this episode's discussion, give the exact time, describe what you hear and explain any ordinary source you think should be considered. You can also compare the neighboring recordings through the episode navigation.

DID THE GHOST BOX SAY “DAMN YOU TO HELL” AT THE WELLES HOUSE? One viewer heard that chilling phrase at 2:55:34. Others reported “Bishop Six,” “Push him,” and a voice that sounds like “take the camera.” Listen to Episode 26 of A House Worse Than Amityville and decide what you hear. I'm Tim Wood, founder of LiveSciFi. Our extended live ghost hunt continues inside the reportedly haunted Welles House at 46 South Welles Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, also searched as 46 Welles Street. This recording generated plenty of discussion about the ghost box, unusual sounds and what might be happening on the security cameras. Rather than give you an edited highlight and tell you what to believe, I want you to review the original footage with us. The most discussed audio moment comes late in the broadcast. At 2:55:34, a viewer says the ghost box sounds as though it's singing “Damn you to hell.” At 2:38:32, another viewer hears “take the camera.” At 2:37:06, someone hears “I'm John.” Earlier in the investigation, listeners suggested “Bishop Six” and “Push him.” Those are interpretations of ambiguous audio, NOT verified statements from an entity. 2:55:34 GHOST BOX - “DAMN YOU TO HELL”?
3:25:41 Viewer-recalled live shoutout near the end THE GHOST BOX MOMENT AT 2:55:34 This is the section I'd most like you to listen to with headphones. A viewer heard what sounded like the phrase “Damn you to hell,” delivered almost as if it were being sung through the ghost box. Did you hear those exact words? Did you hear something else? Try listening first without looking at the suggested phrase. Ghost boxes scan radio frequencies, so clipped broadcasts, background speech and our tendency to recognize patterns can make unrelated sounds resemble direct answers. OTHER POSSIBLE VOICES TO REVIEW At 2:37:06, a viewer interprets a response as “I'm John.” Just over a minute later, at 2:38:32, another viewer reports “take the camera.” Earlier, the phrases “Push him” and “Bishop Six” are reported at 01:56 and 02:31. These are worth checking alongside whatever the investigators were asking at the time, but the comments alone cannot establish who or what produced the sounds. WHAT WAS MAKING THE NOISE AT 1:01:00? One viewer reports hearing panting. Another suggests the sound around 1:01:18 was a dog barking, while a later comment at 1:02:43 also identifies a dog. Listen for the distance, rhythm and tone of the noise. Was it an animal, a sound from another area, an audio artifact, or something we couldn't identify at the time? Conflicting interpretations are a good reason to examine the recording carefully. AND WHAT ABOUT THE BASEMENT CAMERAS? A viewer also mentions two bright dots traveling together near the top of a basement camera frame, without giving a precise timestamp. If you find them, leave a timestamp and camera position below. Dust and insects close to infrared camera lenses can look like large, fast-moving balls of light, so the camera angle matters. ABOUT THE WELLES HOUSE - 46 WELLES STREET We documented our investigation at the Welles House, located at 46 South Welles Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA, over many nights. A House Worse Than Amityville combines the team's firsthand experiences, ghost box and EVP experiments, and longer stretches of security-camera footage. The property has a history of reported haunting claims, but unusual sounds or glowing shapes do not, by themselves, prove that ghosts or demons are present. HELP US REVIEW EPISODE 26 What do YOU hear at 2:55:34? Does 2:38:32 really sound like “take the camera”? Can you explain the panting or barking noise around 1:01:00? Leave the EXACT TIMESTAMP, the camera view if relevant, and your own interpretation. Even if you think there's an ordinary explanation, I want to hear it. Your comments help us identify the strongest moments to revisit from the original broadcasts. READ MY WELLES HOUSE HISTORY AND HAUNTING:
