Inside this investigation
The attic investigation follows reported footsteps and leads toward the old chimney. JJ and I react to growl-like sounds, and I later report a burning sensation on my back. The team examines the marks after I come down. The chapter controls locate both the attic audio and that later examination so you can compare the sequence. Earlier EVP playback and staircase equipment experiments remain separate parts of the evening. The recording documents observations and reactions while leaving the cause of the marks unresolved.
I suggest watching the setup before jumping to the most striking reaction. Ask what the investigators are doing, which device is producing information and what the camera can actually show. The chapter controls help you return to a moment while keeping that wider sequence available. The complete original notes below preserve the account as it was supplied. Use this episode's discussion to share an exact timestamp, a screenshot where useful and a clear distinction between your observation and your explanation. WHAT SCRATCHED MY BACK IN THE WELLES HOUSE ATTIC? During this live ghost hunt, we heard frightening growl-like sounds near an old chimney. Minutes later, I felt burning on my back, and the team discovered unusual marks. Watch the original footage and decide what happened. I'm Tim Wood, founder of LiveSciFi. In Episode 35 of A House Worse Than Amityville, I investigate the reportedly haunted Welles House with JJ, Dave and Bambi. Our night at 46 South Welles Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (also searched as 46 Welles Street) begins with EMF sweeps and EVP experiments, then moves to spirit box responses, flashing equipment on the stairs, and an intense attic investigation. During the attic session, JJ and I report sounds resembling growls, movement and scratching. I later tell the team my back is burning. When they examine it, they describe several lines and a shape they think resembles an upside-down cross. The footage documents our reaction and the marks; it does not establish what caused them. 3:57:32 Preparing for the next basement investigation THE ATTIC GROWLS AND THE MARKS ON MY BACK The attic investigation begins after we report hearing footsteps overhead. We investigate the old chimney, use recording equipment and holy water, and react to several sudden sounds. At roughly 2:40:53, I describe a particularly loud growl close to the brickwork. After climbing down, I report a burning sensation on my back. At 2:47:42, the others examine the visible marks and discuss their shape. Was there an ordinary source, such as contact with clothing or materials in the cramped attic? Watch the full sequence and tell us what you notice. AN EVP THAT SOUNDED LIKE “YES”? At around 23:54, the team reviews an EVP recorded in a back bedroom. The investigators interpret a short sound as a direct “yes” to a question about the temperature. Background noise and recording artifacts can resemble speech, so listen before deciding what you hear. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STAIRCASE EQUIPMENT? Starting around 1:18:31, the team places three flashlights along the stairs and asks for them to turn on. Later, the meters fluctuate dramatically and we compare multiple devices. Flashlights adjusted near their on/off threshold can activate for ordinary mechanical reasons, and EMF readings can change because of electrical sources or equipment behavior. The video shows what we observed, not proof of a spirit. VIEWERS HELPED INVESTIGATE Viewers also flagged a possible orb at 13:27, a faint laugh near 53:18, and an attic light anomaly around 3:10:41. These are viewer-reported observations, not verified apparitions or EVPs. Dust, insects, reflections and audio artifacts can create unusual camera and microphone effects. HELP REVIEW THE ORIGINAL FOOTAGE Do you hear a growl at 2:40:53? What do you make of the marks at 2:47:42? Can you identify an ordinary explanation for the staircase lights? Leave the EXACT TIMESTAMP and camera angle in the comments. I'm interested in what believers and skeptics both notice. WELLES HOUSE HISTORY & HAUNTING:
