During our live investigation of the reportedly haunted Welles House, we were using a Ouija board beside a strange giraffe in the basement when the session took an unsettling turn. We attempt Ouija board communication, record possible EVPs, and test the EchoBox while the security cameras continue to document the house. In episode 36, the team returns to the basement of the property to conduct a thorough paranormal investigation. We focus on the basement, using a Ouija board and audio equipment to document potential spirit communication. During the session, the board appears to spell out unsettling messages like PEEKABOO and BEHIND YOU, which we analyze alongside our visual footage. Beyond the board, we conduct an EVP recording and test the EchoBox to capture any auditory anomalies. Around 27:55, we react as the planchette appears to spell “peekaboo.” About a minute later, we interpret another sequence as “behind you.” Earlier, around 22:06, one of us reports seeing a figure-like shadow near the water heater; afterward, the team discusses a shape peeking out beside a basement pole. The recording shows our reactions, but does not establish what caused the movement or shadow. VIEWERS NOTICED MORE POSSIBLE MESSAGES At roughly 24:30, viewers interpreted some board letters as the German phrase “Ich war mit,” meaning “I was with.” That's a viewer reading, not a verified translation of an independently confirmed message. Another viewer heard what sounded like “it's here, by the giraffe” around 46:00 during the audio experiment. Listen without prompting first, then compare what you hear. BASEMENT EVP, ECHOBOX AND POSSIBLE ORBS After the board session, Dave, JJ and Bambi continue with EVP recording and EchoBox audio. They discuss a faint voice during playback around 40:54, and there are reports of a physical sensation near 37:17 and a tap near 49:53. Viewers also flagged bright orb-like objects near the wood pillar around 34:00 and on the overnight attic cameras around 1:00:46. These observations may have ordinary explanations, including insects, dust close to infrared lenses, background voices, and electronic audio artifacts. WHY THE GIRAFFE? The unusual giraffe statue was already in the basement, and we found it unsettling enough to place the Ouija board session nearby. This doesn't mean the object was haunted. It gives you context for why the team kept mentioning it while reviewing the board and possible audio responses.
