Bambi, Dave and I return to the Welles House for a longer investigation involving a board session, ghost-box questions, prayer playback and a later flashlight experiment. The recording includes the countdown called out during the board session, the repeated interpretation of “Bishop,” and our reactions to tapping and physical sensations upstairs. Around 1:47:24, I react to a growl-like sound and discomfort around my back. At 1:51:41, I report my shirt being pulled; later Dave reports a wall panel shaking. DID THE WELLES HOUSE OUIJA BOARD COUNT DOWN FROM NINE TO ONE? During our return ghost hunt, the planchette appeared to count backward, our ghost box seemed to repeat the name “Bishop,” and we recorded tapping and unsettling reactions upstairs. Later, a flashlight switched on as I asked questions in the dark. I'm Tim Wood, founder of LiveSciFi. In Episode 44 of A House Worse Than Amityville, Bambi, Dave and I investigate the reportedly haunted Welles House at 46 South Welles Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (also searched as 46 Welles Street). We revisit the upstairs rooms, test a Ouija board, use a spirit box beside an object described during the investigation as a Dybbuk box, and conduct flashlight and EMF experiments. At approximately 32:54, the team calls out descending numbers during a Ouija board session, and around 33:11 we react when the planchette appears to jump. Earlier, we interpret part of a sequence as the beginning of “diablo”; later the letters appear to form “tarot” and “rope.” These are our live interpretations of board movements, not verified communication with any entity. Review the letters as they are spoken and decide what you see. WHY DID THE GHOST BOX KEEP SAYING “BISHOP”? Around 1:17:40, Dave hears what he interprets as “Bishop,” a word that had also come up in prior investigations. A viewer independently logged several possible “Bishop” responses during the longer radio-scan session, along with sounds interpreted as “I'm here.” Ghost boxes can produce radio fragments and ambiguous syllables, so listen without reading the proposed words first. The recording does not establish the identity of a spirit or confirm that any voice comes from the house. TAPPING, COLD SPOTS AND THE HANUKKAH EXPERIMENT We play prayers and music while observing the house during Hanukkah because we wanted to test reports associated with the holiday. I report tapping around 1:38:39 and a growl-like sound around 1:47:24. The team also examines marks on my back and reports my shirt moving. Later, around 2:06:47, a wall panel appears to shake from our perspective, and at 2:12:44 we hear knocks near a radiator. None of these events establishes a supernatural or religious cause. Loose paneling, heating systems, airflow, environmental noise and camera conditions are worth checking. THE FLASHLIGHT TEST IN THE DARK After the viewer Q&A, we resume the upstairs experiment. Near 3:52:15, a flashlight switches on while I am questioning the room; I continue testing it alongside a meter. A flashlight adjusted close to its switching threshold can activate from ordinary mechanical or temperature effects. The timing is interesting, but it should be assessed without assuming the source.
