Inside this investigation
A disrupted trip to the airport leads Dave and me back to the Welles House for another night after John Zaffis has left. The description highlights a viewer-reported growl during the Lord's Prayer at 29:48 and a later candlelit scrying experiment. My account of the mirror experience is subjective, while the sound report concerns the recording. The chapters make it easier to keep those strands separate and examine the setup, reactions and later camera observations in their original order.
I suggest watching the setup before jumping to the most striking reaction. Ask what the investigators are doing, which device is producing information and what the camera can actually show. The chapter controls help you return to a moment while keeping that wider sequence available. The complete original notes below preserve the account as it was supplied. Use this episode's discussion to share an exact timestamp, a screenshot where useful and a clear distinction between your observation and your explanation. DID SOMETHING GROWL DURING THE LORD'S PRAYER INSIDE THE HAUNTED WELLES HOUSE? A viewer reported hearing a long growl as I prayed. Later, a candlelit scrying mirror experiment left me badly shaken, and viewers noticed possible voices and strange lights on our surveillance cameras. What really happened during this unexpected return? I'm Tim Wood, founder of LiveSciFi. In Episode 50 of A House Worse Than Amityville, Dave Spinks and I return to the reportedly haunted Welles House at 46 South Welles Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (also searched as 46 Welles Street). John Zaffis had already headed home. We weren't even planning another investigation: a major highway accident disrupted our drive to the airport, I missed my flight, and we decided to spend another night at the property. We investigate noises, shadows, unexpected equipment activity and reports of physical sensations, then conduct a candlelit scrying mirror experiment upstairs. Viewer-submitted timestamps also point to possible EVP-like voices, a low growl during prayer and orb-like shapes on the night-vision cameras. EPISODE 50 — YOUTUBE CHAPTERS

2:01:48 Strange gray wave reported on surveillance video DID SOMETHING GROWL DURING THE LORD'S PRAYER? At 29:48, a viewer reports hearing an extended growl-like sound while I recite the Lord's Prayer. Around 1:04:59, another viewer hears what sounds like a female voice just after Dave says “in Jesus' name.” A low noise at 1:11:43 has also been interpreted as a growl or moan. Listen with headphones, preferably once without reading anyone else's interpretation. The sounds' sources are not confirmed. THE SCRYING MIRROR EXPERIMENT At 49:00, I sit in front of a candlelit mirror and describe what appears to change in my reflected face. By about 55:30, the experience becomes deeply unsettling: I report seeing a strange figure and feeling pulled away from my own reflection, and Dave helps me stop the session. This is my firsthand account of what I perceived, not evidence that a face physically transformed or that an entity appeared. Low light, reflections and prolonged staring can also change how a face looks to an observer. SCRATCHES, GHOST BOX RESPONSES AND AN UNEXPECTED RETURN At 27:30, a viewer hears a possible “yes” after I challenge something in the room to slam a door. At 1:28:18, we discuss a ghost box response resembling “Abacus.” Ghost boxes can pick up broadcast fragments and ambiguous syllables; hearing a name doesn't establish who, if anyone, was communicating. Near 1:47:00, Dave examines and photographs marks on my back, but we do not establish how they were caused. We also discuss unsettling noises, an unusual movement involving a fireplace log, and our decision to leave the security cameras running after the main investigation. These were experiences we wanted to document, not proof of demonic activity or a haunting. DID THE NIGHT-VISION CAMERAS CAPTURE AN ORB? At 1:59:03, a viewer reports an orb-like light in the room with two doors. At 2:01:48, another notices a gray wave-like shape in the lower-right portion of the larger surveillance view. Night-vision cameras can produce unusual images from nearby dust, insects, reflections, infrared illumination, autofocus and video compression. Compare nearby frames and tell us what you see.
