Inside this investigation

A viewer’s timestamp draws attention to a movement that appears to pull the planchette from under my fingers. The recording also includes further questions and attempts to capture audio. I keep the viewer’s observation identified as a report, rather than adopting it as an explanation. The surrounding hand position and sequence of movements matter more than an isolated description of the moment.

For camera reports, establish the view and surrounding light before deciding what an apparent shape or movement represents. A reflection, a bright speck and a moving object are different observations. I want screenshots tied to an exact point in the continuous recording, with an explanation of what the viewer actually noticed.

When reviewing the board, follow the letter order and spoken questions as well as the eventual phrase. A name or message in the notes records the interpretation made during the investigation. It does not independently identify a communicator. Comparing the movement with the suggested wording is part of reviewing the experiment.
