Inside this investigation

I bring a doll into the session after reporting that it had been left on my car. The investigation then moves through board questions, recorder use, room noises and uncomfortable sensations. The doll’s reported history should not determine how every later sound is interpreted. I want viewers to examine the recording and separate what is shown from the story that prompted me to investigate the object.

For camera reports, establish the view and surrounding light before deciding what an apparent shape or movement represents. A reflection, a bright speck and a moving object are different observations. I want screenshots tied to an exact point in the continuous recording, with an explanation of what the viewer actually noticed.

For the recorder passages, I recommend listening before reading the words suggested in the notes. Compare the volume, nearby speech and surrounding room noise, and say whether you hear a voice at all. A proposed phrase is an interpretation of the recording, not a substitute for the audio.
