i took everyones opinions and formulated this...
1. -created two new rooms
- serious investigation chat
-ask a mod chat (moderated chat, the mods will get pm'd messages when someone types something in the room, and will get a prompt response whether is problems with another member or questions about the site.)2. 2 more mods
3. zero tolerence towards harrasment of any member of livescifi.tv or cast member
I think these will be suitable solutions for the time being and are effective today. Thanks everyone for your input!

Yea the last investigation was kinda bad with trolls festering in the chat. People who constantly pick apart the equipments used and keeps talking about it when no one wants to know anymore is more than likely trolling in order to provoke arguments. I could care less about them since I just put them on ignore, but the repeated attacks kept making me tune out of chat and just watch the feed. Not to mention the random drawings that pop up now and again with people testing the new feature (not a bad thing at all, just stop testing it lol).
If it ever comes up again, don't ever consider implementing a slow mode in chat because it would defeat the purpose of discussing.
One more note, I wish the drama just leave already... If you have a quarrel with the site administrators, contact them and keep us out of it. You can also tell your friends about it too, but spamming just makes it a low-class blow.

Tim you are doing a great job with all of the input and discussions about what should be done and what should not be done.... you have the responsibility to try to make everyone happy....I would not want to be in your shoes man....

This is why Tim is the Grand Poobah! He rocks! I am really glad that you put in a serious investigations room. I know since I started coming I thought that I would be discussing the investigations with others as well, but it was always just your usual BS. I didn't realize that there were many people here that really wanted to talk about the investigations. I am glad to know there are a lot out there who care about the investigations and want to discuss them. Thanks for all your work and effort. Please don't let some idiots run this for you.

The way I always have ran a chat room is as such.
1: No swearing, the chat and the stream are not one and the same. Tim can swear all he wishes.
2: Never EVER insult any team member, or some one that calls in. Seen it happen and I was so ticked off.
3: Dont post pictures during a investigation less they relate to it, and please PLEASE size them down so they dont lag the server to much.
4: Lets not flood the chat with drama.
5: If some one causes trouble, and you dont think a mod see's it. Here is a nifty idea.. PM THE MOD! Or go to the "Need help" room, that what it is for.
What you think Tim? Those should do nicely for chat rules.
Oh and Tim if you could adjust the chat filter about links, I tryed to even post a link to a forum topic during QnA you asked about, and couldnt. Thats just silly.lol Its YOUR own web site. Shouldnt be hard to make a exception for any url that has livescifi.tv as its source. I know why other urls are blocked thats a good idea, but our own?LOL

Wander... yes i totally agree with what your saying, i too have been a mod in many a chat room...thing you got to remember tho, is when investigations or a chat room in general is very busy, be it one mod or 6..all the mods may at times be busy with pm's so my suggestion is to be patient, moderators do see what is going on at all times...

My only addition to what Wander & Train said is this:
Let's help the mods by MODERATING EACH OTHER.
If you see someone breaking the rules - SPEAK UP! Tell them so!
The mods have been strict and from what I've seen, they're not putting up with anybody's BS - why get kicked out or worse yet, banned, just because you don't like being told what to do? That's stupid. Behave and make the mods jobs easier and CHAT MORE PLEASANT!

Moderating is a difficult task, when we used to have a forum (no chatroom) on our old site, it ended up being bombarded with off topic comments and a great deal of porn advertising. I had some people helping out, but even that got out of control.
I would be happy to help, but I am not sure I could make many of the shows, due to our own investigations and shamanic clients.

I've always felt there was a grip on the context of the site as well as the chat areas. That is until recently, there's a handful that keep pressing others to the point where it does make it difficult to focus on what we're trying to achieve and that is disruptive. I vote for setting up the Pay-Pal Tim, and cleaning house, I'll send you my annual dues promptly and in full, see if that does the trick. As far as Tim playing favorites, well I really don't think he has time for that with the work load.
For whatever reason there are fence straddlers and people who belong to other goups who try to diminish the main goal of the energy expended here. Good work team and do not let this pettiness detract from what we're here for....that's all I got. Ciao baby/

Wow I thought this had already been settled? There is always going to be some idiot that says that there are favorites. They just need to get over themselves. That is the reason that the mods were taken away the first time. Whoever the mods are need to get a little tougher and do some kicking out of chat to get everyones attention that they can and will do it. I for one am as always going to go as far as they will let me just to see how far i can go....lol not really.
For those whose dontlike whats going on in the main room ,thats what we got the other room for now. Go to it.

well said andrew, I had a chance to finally sit back for a good hour last night and review the chat in the main lobby...for the most part it was on point but I did notice that some people were harassing others whether it was by being overly rude, or by sexual comments and innuendos...i will say this and i will not say it again people that will do this will be warned, by being booted from the chat if they do it again they will be admin ip banned and thats it.

what about making a 18+ over room where ya can swear and be a bit crazy with out people winning, i mean reporting others .
