bummer crypt i found this I believe it to be a windows security issue heres the fix:

SUMMARY
This step-by-step article describes how to set Java security in Internet Explorer. You can configure Internet Explorer 4.0 and later with default security settings or with custom security settings. The custom security settings explicitly define Java permissions for signed and unsigned applets. The Microsoft Virtual Machine must be installed to configure the custom Java permissions.

View and Change Java Custom Settings for Each Security Zone
To configure Java security in Internet Explorer: 1. Start Internet Explorer, and then click Internet Options on the Tools menu.
2. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
3. There are four security zones on the Security page:

• Internet
• Local intranet
• Trusted Sites
• Restricted Sites

Select the zone on which you want to change the Java security settings.
4. In the Security level for this zone frame, click Custom Level. In Internet Explorer version 4.x, click Custom Level, and then click Settings.
5. View the Microsoft VM section (the Java section in Internet Explorer 4.x.)
6. In the list of Java Permissions under the Microsoft VM, click Custom.
7. Click Java Custom Settings.
8. Click the View Permissions tab to view the current Java permissions. The Java permissions are grouped in three main categories:

• Permissions Given to Unsigned Content
Unsigned Java applets that request these permissions can run without bringing up a user prompt.
• Permissions That Signed Content Are Allowed
Signed Java applets that requests these permissions can run without user prompting.
• Permissions That Signed Content Are Denied
Signed Java applets are denied these permissions.

9. Click the Edit Permissions tab. Select the option you need for more exact control over Java permissions for the zone. If you do not want to keep the settings that you have made, you can click the Reset button to reset permissions to:

• Saved permissions
• High Security
• Medium Security
• Low Security

10. Click OK, and then click OK again.

Let me know if this does not work, hope to see you tonight! 😉

if this doesn't work rewrite the tcp stack by:

SOLUTION:

The Windows Vista TCP Stack has been re-written. The following solution appears to correct many internet-related issues with Windows Vista, and seems to resolve the problem. There should be no negative effects from performing the following; but we have provided you with instructions for undoing this should you feel it necessary.

Part I: Disable TCP Autotuning

1. Click the Start (Windows Logo) icon
2. Select 'All Programs'
3. Select 'Accessories'
4. Right-Click on 'Command Prompt'
5. Click 'Run as Administrator'
6. A dialog box will ask you to confirm. Click the 'Continue' button to proceed.
7. Type: netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled
8. Press 'Enter'
9. The message 'Ok.' should appear.
10. Type: exit

Part II: Empty your Java Cache

1. Visit http://www.addonchat.com/demo.html
2. The Java icon will appear in your task icon list in the lower-right hand corner of your screen
3. Right-click the Java (coffee-cup) icon and select 'Open Control Panel'
4. Under 'Temporary Internet Files', click 'Settings'
5. Click the 'Delete Files...' button
6. A window titled 'Delete Temporary Files' will appear. Make sure all options are checked and click 'OK'
7. Click 'OK' to exit the 'Temporary File Settings' window.
8. Click 'OK' to exit the Java Control Panel

Part III: Empty your browser's cache

1. Clear your browser's cache. Visit http://support.addoninteractive.com/ind ... &article=2 for complete instructions.
2. Shut down all instances of your web browser.

That's all. You may now try to load the chat applet. If you have any questions regarding this procedure, please let us know.

This issue is likely to work itself out in the near future as future updates of Windows Vista and Java are released to the public -- once these updates have been released, your users will not be required to go through the above procedure.
