hallo friends,

it appears that some avatars are larger than the allowable size (80x80). there is a posting that may help you to size them down. check out page 2 in this posting should you need help:
http://livescifi.tv/forums/viewtopic.php?t=650&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

why smaller avatars?
--large avatars decrease the size of the posting box.
--they mess up the forums.

please, let's be aware of this. just ask if you need help. everyone here is great at lending assistance. or give me a shout..

thank you so much! 😁

all avatars that aren't 80x80 are being removed from the site today, im not going to bother sending out pms because its taking so much time deleting each one, oneby one..In the future guys please keep avatars down to 80x80. If your worried about them being to small on your profile the forum pictures automatically get resized to 180x180.

So if I have ot loaded up on a photobucket account how do I find out how big it is and then how do I edit it?

to check the size RIGHT click on the image ~ at the bottom of the list that pops up you'll find "PROPERTIES", click on it ~ among other things the dimensions are shown (ex: size 115x150)

photobucket now has editing tools and you can resize it
above each image in your photobucket acct you'll see this:
edit | move | tag | share | delete

click on edit, then your pic will open in a window and there will be more options......click 'resize' and it will let you change it either by % or by dimensions (h x w)

*edited cuz i'm an idjit sometimes

thanks squirlz for helping out!
yuppers, the edit function in "photobucket" is fairly new and works
super, especially if one is not savy on things like that. 😉

ps: a comment was suggested about the size of our "signatures"
as well.
i certainly agree to ensure we watch the size of our banners,
siggys etc.. so we don't stretch our postings out. it certainly isn't fun
for those of us who don't have monitor screens larger than 17" and
end up scrolling back'n'forth. so let's help one another out, and
keep in mind of our siggy sizes as well. it's so appreciated!
thank you!
