On the lines of the rover, I was thinking of a even BETTER, idea. How about a livescifi RC helicopter?

I was just watching a havoc helli ad on tv, I can judge that it would be able to hold a small mini wifi camera.

Just think of it, having the ability to get a ariel view of outdoor locations, flying into areas to tight for a person to get through, or even for a rover. Also think about being able to go up into a attic area, without risking Les breaking a leg.lol

There is a very small wifi camera made for dog collers, that is bout the size and weight of a pen, which im sure a havoc helli would be able to carry. If not im sure there are equivalent easy to use helicopters out there that can hold more weight.

Now this wouldnt be something for remote control on the net considering a hellicopter no matter how easy to fly, is something that takes quite alot of practice to master.

While a havoc helli is very durable, the mini camera that it would be carring wouldnt be unless it was modified slightly.

The wifi reciever which normaly goes on a tv, shouldnt be hard to put onto the laptop.

Edit: Oh yeah, and since some one mentioned paranormal state beat us to the rover concept, lets just see them beat us to the eye in the sky. Muhahaha!

Oh wonderful! They are making a lazer version of the heli, so all we would have to do is REMOVE there junky lazer, and put the camera RIGHT there, and wham ready to roll and the camera would be protected. Muhahahaha!

Here is the heli..

Oh well shoot, this lady already did it, but NOT with the helicopter I mentioned, with this one...

So that proves with the RIGHT havoc heli, it is possable to do what im talkin bout. 🙂

Very cool. So I think its that model the reflex that we should use, and she mentions ya gotta use a very small camera, which I already said. Thou her image is way better then the one that the dog coller camera offers.

I saw them on Mythbusters using RC Helicopter to bust a myth of the weight of a playing card on the blade would set it off balance and cause it to crash. The point I am making is they had a problem learning how to manuver it even though they were used to operating RC stuff. One of the guys was the winner of Robot Battles they had on PBS a few years ago. It would take a while to learn how to use it, and cost a lot in damages while learning.

Ok let me explain somethin to you doubters.lol

A havoc heli is a TWO channel helli, this means it can go up and down, left and right, it has No forward movement, this will be done by the location of the camera wieght.

The MYTHBUSTERS were morons, complete stupid idiots, using a 6 channel 3D heli to try and test the myth, they are NOT for beginners to use, a six channel helli has left, right, up and down, side to side, and ROLL movements.

A 3 channel heli has left right, up and down, and forward movement.

A 4 chan, has left and right, up and down, forward and back movement.

Im talking about a two channel, also the havoc's can take a beating.

Also if it cant hold enough wieght there is a CX2, which is a four chan heli, that could do the job, and is also rather easy to fly.

I have been studying this idea as you can tell ever since I thought bout it, and already flew a Cx2, they practicly fly themselves.
