Inside this investigation

I begin by challenging the recorder before touching the board, which makes the sequence of methods central to this investigation. Lily and I later review growl-like audio and letter movements interpreted as “MINE,” “TIME’S UP” and “HEX.” I also describe feeling unwell. This entry keeps the physical report, the recording and the board reading separate so none is used automatically to establish the cause of another.

For the recorder passages, I recommend listening before reading the words suggested in the notes. Compare the volume, nearby speech and surrounding room noise, and say whether you hear a voice at all. A proposed phrase is an interpretation of the recording, not a substitute for the audio.

Equipment readings are recorded as device behavior. Their meaning depends on the setup and potential interference, including nearby electronics and movement. I want the checks and questions kept with the readings so the moment can be evaluated as an experiment rather than reduced to a dramatic number on a display.
