Inside this investigation

The source notes place this investigation during a lightning storm and describe a letter sequence interpreted as “GAME,” “PEEKABOO” and “SCRATCH.” I report a sharp sensation in my arm, and Lily notices a mark. The timing is the central question I want preserved here. A mark, a sensation and a word read from the board are observations to compare, rather than proof that one caused the others.

For camera reports, establish the view and surrounding light before deciding what an apparent shape or movement represents. A reflection, a bright speck and a moving object are different observations. I want screenshots tied to an exact point in the continuous recording, with an explanation of what the viewer actually noticed.

For a sudden sound, compare the lead-up with the team’s response and any ordinary activity nearby. A noise may be easy to locate in a recording but difficult to identify. Describing its timing, character and possible source is more useful than assigning it an identity because of the question being asked.
