I question a board sequence I associate with a game involving wishes and cards, while repeatedly stopping for knocks and other room sounds. This entry keeps those pauses and changes of focus in the unedited recording. I want viewers to compare the actual sequence with the story we begin to form around it, rather than treating an ominous interpretation of letters as a demonstrated agreement or consequence.

For the recorder passages, I recommend listening before reading the words suggested in the notes. Compare the volume, nearby speech and surrounding room noise, and say whether you hear a voice at all. A proposed phrase is an interpretation of the recording, not a substitute for the audio.

When reviewing the board, follow the letter order and spoken questions as well as the eventual phrase. A name or message in the notes records the interpretation made during the investigation. It does not independently identify a communicator. Comparing the movement with the suggested wording is part of reviewing the experiment.
