Inside this investigation

I place an EVP recorder inside my shadow while questioning words I associate with hell and shadows. Later, viewers direct attention to a lighter that appears to move near my chair. This entry gives the experiment’s unusual premise its own context. The placement of a recorder and the movement of an object require practical examination before either is used to support a paranormal explanation.

When reviewing the board, follow the letter order and spoken questions as well as the eventual phrase. A name or message in the notes records the interpretation made during the investigation. It does not independently identify a communicator. Comparing the movement with the suggested wording is part of reviewing the experiment.

For a sudden sound, compare the lead-up with the team’s response and any ordinary activity nearby. A noise may be easy to locate in a recording but difficult to identify. Describing its timing, character and possible source is more useful than assigning it an identity because of the question being asked.
